The 360 X CCCAP (Call Center Association of the Philippines) Fitness Festival was CCAP’s foray into promoting employee health and wellness in the workplace amongst its member companies in Manila and the rest of the country. With international and local companies joining such as Paypal, Accenture, Sitel, Teleperformance, Teletech, Intellicare, Inspiro, Max’s Philippines, Etrade, HCL, Uploan, RJ Globus, Techmahindra, Infinivan, and Real Page, over 400 employees competed in 16 events designed to cater to employees with fitness levels from beginners to advanced. It wasn’t your typical sportsfest and was an event that was inclusive to all, and designed for fun, friendly competition to create employee engagement and promote employee wellbeing. As an initiative to promote a culture of fitness and wellness, events ranged from speed and agility relay, sandbag relay, power relay, dance, dodgeball and more. It was also a teambuilding activity that helped promote a stronger bond as they prepared for these events together. Fitness and wellness programs for employees were designed by our team of the country’s top fitness professionals, Sot Sotelo (ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coach, CFSC. FMSC, NSPA-CWPC, IKFSA), Chappy Callanta (NSCA CSCS Strength and Conditioning Specialist), and Jose Gemora (NSCA CSCS Strength and Conditioning Specialist, EXOS XPS Performance Specialist, CFSC Certified Functional Strength Coach, FMS Functional Movement Screen Coach). As part of our advocacy to design holistic health as part of wellness programs at work, we partnered with mental health and nutrition experts to give workshops as the events ran. Kimi Lu, one of the country’s top life coaches and mental health expert, gave a Happiness Movement workshop helping employees start and sustain positive mindfulness and mental wellbeing habits. In preparation for the event, we also helped different teams from different companies with health and wellness activities at work to prepare them for the events. All in all, it was a success and here is what CCAP representative Jay Sansibestan, CCAP Operations Manager has to say:
It was a pleasure working with a competent and dedicated team of fitness and wellness advocates for employee wellbeing at work. Their intimate knowledge of running a large-scale fitness event and wellness activities designed for the workplace were exactly what was needed for this program. The CCAP Wellness Festival reinforced the consciousness about employee wellbeing as an integral part of employee engagement at work in the IT-BPM industry. After all, careers in IT-BPM can be intense where fitness and employee wellness programs can become a great balancer in the workplace. The event brought employees of our member companies together as friendly competitors. It became a venue for employees to feel that they belong to a larger community of knowledge workers.
