Health and Wellness Programs At Work: The Benefits 

Heath and wellness programs at work are now a workplace imperative. People are now reevaluating and redesigning how they want to live their lives and spend their energy. That means employees are looking for employers who value their wellbeing, and will support them to have a life well-lived. According to Gallup, employees of all generations rank “the organization cares about employees’ wellbeing” in their top three criteria, especially for Gen Z, it being their number one want. According to a Deloitte study, 68% of employees and 81% of the C-suite say that improving their well-being is more important than advancing their career. It’s no longer a workplace perk or something HR ticks off the box. Employee wellness programs and building a culture of wellbeing should now be company priorities.

Having health and wellness programs at work have many benefits for employees and companies alike. Here are some of them:

    The statistics above show this. Employees want companies who care about them as a person by prioritizing their wellbeing. Of course, the right holistic programs can also help reduce burnout, improve their health and productivity, and most importantly, help them achieve a better work-life integration they’re aspiring for.
  2. Employee Wellness programs can help reduce burnout.

    Employee wellbeing correlates with employee engagement in powerful ways. Without thriving in their wellness, employees still have a 61% higher likelihood of ongoing burnout even when they’re engaged, according to Gallup.
